Sustainability criteria in real estate valuation

Sustainability and climate protection are mega-topics in real estate valuation. The building sector is responsible for over one third of greenhouse gas emissions. The European targets for saving energy and reducing climate-damaging emissions are drastic: climate neutrality is to be achieved in Germany by 2045. Keyword EU taxonomy: The Brussels regulatory framework checks any investments for their impact on the climate and aims to channel capital into sustainable investments.

In the recently published study, Daniel Börschig and Helmut Kolb, both CIS HypZert (F) and members of the HypZert Professional Group "Energy and Environment", present both the political framework and the significance of energy performance certificates, certification labels for energy efficiency as well as aspects of renewable energy supply.

You can find the study in the library of your Valuers Corner, as usual, for download. →
